Ancient Roots Gatherings are free quarterly meetups, beginning in Spring 2016. We come together to learn and practice earth-skills and welcome all skill and experience levels, from those who are open and curious up to people who have wild roots for breakfast. It is a great place to make new connections and have unique experiences with old friends! We will do things such as wild edible and medicinal plant walks, processing and cooking wild foods, natural body care, food preservation and other ancestral skills.
We have been working on a lot of fun stuff lately, include harvesting of wild persimmons which I was and still am super excited about! We also harvested and made mesquite flour, made digging sticks and English Ivy baskets as well as gourd bowls and canteens to name a few! I hope you will join us soon in our wild adventures!
